Tiger Rank
|
|
The Tiger Cub rank is
for first grade (age 7) boys and their adult partners. Each Tiger Cub must
have an individual registered adult partner, usually a parent or guardian.
Each Tiger Den is organized by a “lead” adult partner called the Den
Leader. The Tiger Cub Den Leader helps in coordinating the Den’s
activities. Tiger Cubs work towards earning the Tiger Cub Rank Badge by
completing 15 requirements, three types of activities in each of 5
different themes. These requirements are an exciting series of indoor and
outdoor activities appropriate for boys in the first grade. Tiger
Cub Dens typically meet twice a month; once for a den meeting and once for
a Go See It activity.
|
After earning the Bobcat Badge, a Tiger Cub must do the following to earn
the Tiger Cub Totem:
|
Learn the Cub Scout Motto: Do Your Best
Learn the Cub Scout
Sign
Learn the Cub Scout
Salute
|
|
Once a Tiger Cub earns the Totem, he can start working towards his Tiger
Cub Rank badge. To earn the Tiger Cub Rank Badge, a Tiger Cub must
complete a Family Activity, a Den Activity, and a Go See It Activity in
each of five Achievement Areas. For each activity completed, the
Tiger Cub earns a bead for their Totem: orange beads for Den activities,
white beads for Family activities, and black beads for Go See It
activities. There are no performance requirements and Tigers
complete activities and earn beads simply by participating in and doing
one's best in an activity. A summary of the required Achievements is
listed below, but each Tiger Cub and adult partner should consult the
Official Tiger Cub Handbook for clarification and more details on each
item. |
